new puppies!

well, we have brittany spaniels that we use for hunting, we lost one this past winter, Abby. she was about 14 yrs old, i think, and had a great life. we have another young brittany female, Emolly. she is an akc purebred with champion bloodlines in her, and we are gonna breed her this winter, but.... we got a call from the breeder that we got emolly from and he said he has more puppies! so we went over the other night and me and my dad each picked out a pup. we'll be bringin them home in a few weeks! sorry no pics yet but i'll have some when they come home. they are cute as hell! and when we breed emolly, i am takin one of those pups! so we are gonna be up to our ears in dogs soon! lol! hopefully theyll keep us up to our ears in birds when we get them trained!

we got two females, mines the biggest of the three and shes not the most aggressive, but not the most inactive either. the parents are gorgeous! these are actually oops puppies, the female got out and one of the three males got her, hes not sure wich one, so we cant get papers on them, just purebred hunting dogs. lol! (no chance of inbreeding either, none of the males are related to the females) i am hoping mine turns out to be a stockier dog, some brittanies are bigger and broader chested, and some are smaller (petite) brittanies, emolly is a smaller brittany.

our brittanies have gone in a line, we had Abbigail of Barnstable, and when she started getting older, we traced her bloodlines and got our current brittany who is abby's great neice? or something? any who they are related. Emolly is Emolly Ann of Barnstable. i am thinking the name Diana Lynne of Barnstable for mine, diana is the greek godess of the hunt. god only knows what dads gonna name his lol!

well, scratch the "of barnstable" thats our pedigree name and since they arent pedigree with papers, they wont get that. dad said maybe caleb for his?? i dunno the thought behind that one but he said that the dog wont know if its a boy or girl lol!

Jaybird named his female beagle Vinny (story of tradition behind that one)

If he can name his dog that.. your dad can name his Caleb.. lol
